Question by alymarie: Having a Holiday weight loss challenge at work and need to know information on cleansing and detox.?
At my work place we have started to get employess to work on their health and fitness. We have had some “Biggest Loser” competitions and now since we all know that people tend to overdo it thru the holidays, we are now having another weight loss competition. The good thing is that everyone can win. All you have to do is lose 5 or more pounds and you win $ 100.00. The initial weigh in was November 23 and the final weigh in is January 4. I tend to go up and down a few pounds thru the week and I exercise regularly and try to eat healthy. I want to know how I can kick start my weight loss by getting a cleanse or detox product to rid my body of all the crap and continue healthy so I can lose the 5 pounds or more and keep it off. I havent taken any product before and know that if someone with some knowledge can help me I will most definitley be able to cash in come January. So all you health people, please let me know how I can kickstart my way.

Did you know, water can be used to detox your body naturally? One of the most important things in out life is to have enough liquids. The most important liquid on earth is water. It helps to flush our system and also hydrate our body which we detox by sweating, this helps to keep your pores clean.
Water also helps with our bodily functions and makes everything work right including your immune system. A clean system will help you stay healthy and also to digest your food, nutrients as well as the vitamins that you put in your body.
Now it is important that you drink pure water. The regular public water today has over five hundred chemicals in it to bring it into our home. Unfortunately these chemicals have a negative effect on the body and so it is very important to drink pure water.
Either get your home a water purifier systems, drink spring water or distilled water which is very good for detoxification. Your body is made up of over seventy five percent water, proper hydration is essential for optimum health.
In the body water facilitates the exchange of healthy nutrients in and out of your body cells, helps with blood circulation, assists with digestion, aides the absorption of your food and helps with elimination of toxins from your body.
How much water should you drink? Well how you determine the amount of water to drink is to take your weight in pounds and divide it in two that is the amount of ounces you should drink. So if you weigh two hundred pounds you need to drink one hundred ounces of water.

Question by Aquamarine: Do you have to follow a specific eating regime while doing the Jillian Michaels detox diet?
I bought Jillian Michaels’ Detox diet pills and I thought there would be like instructions about what to eat for the two weeks, but there wasn’t. Does anyone know if you have to eat specific foods or if you can just eat what you normally do? Thanks!
